I am on board for a law suit against Dodge for putting a sub par part on a vehicle with no recourse for replacing with quality parts. The first failure occurred at 65mph on the interstate. And i went to slow down and as soon as i hit the brake the rear locked up and i went for a hell of a ride. Considering that the basic design of the rear differential in the 2009-2010 Dodge Ram 1500 is fairly standard and has been for decades , the fix could be something as simple as swapping out the pinion nut for something that is found to more reliably stay tight. Warranty company was acting stupid about it, took 3 weeks to get truck back, and it took 8 days before they would say they were going to fix it, thus no rental car till they said they would. The 1994-2002 Ram Dana 60 rear axles use the same wheel bearings, hubs, and brakes as used on the Dana 70 and Dana 80 single rear wheel axles used with Diesel and Ram 3500 models, but the axle shafts and most differential parts are unique to the Dana 60.
