Also the story is extremely standard and predictable but it even tries to be so much more as it really is which made me really not believe a thing. There are many obligatory parades of Babes in varying poses as eye-candy and Gangsta Ho hangers on. The streets look mean, the cops look bad and the baddies look badder, apart from Kilmer who just looks like a camp, fat has-been. Summary for the movie David is a small-time hood in a big-time gang, killed for wanting out to marry his girlfriend. Sure enough, while I was in post, the L.
The vato who wrote this movie was a cholo himself at one time. I was making a film against that ethos. Ditto pretty much Val Kilmer, and Vinnie Jones although they don't Mumble they just barely show up. Jeffrey Katzenberg wanted me to make it. Worst movie I have ever seen, this director shouldn't be able to work again. After his brother is brutally murdered Sheriff Spencer Luke Goss is let down by the people he hoped would help. But I was wondering if any homeboys out there might know where I can come up on the original 330-minute cut?!? In general, the dialogs are boring and weird, some scenes are very strange indeed, in particular one with sadistic girls and their boss.
His older brother, Michael, a deputy sheriff in a meth-riddled town near Baltimore, leaves the force, gets a set of tattoos, and joins his brother's crew after claiming to be just out of prison and on the run. Taking matters into his own hands he goes undercover in the gang that did it in order to get revenge. Rapper 50 Cent Produced this thing and he manages to mangle the English Language, swallow His words, and mumble for the complete 30 seconds he is on the Screen. Can he complete his mission? Then has the audacity to put His Name on the Box. The Story line, very predictable, false advertising with regards to the single appearance of 50 Cent opposed to 'starring', add to that the improbable events that take place in a police station??? He proves his abilities, glad to wreak justice on other gangs and corrupt cops, and he may have a chance at revenge during a summit of North and South American drug traffickers.
In one life-shattering moment, the trio is torn apart, forcing them to follow three separate paths. Bad story line and even worst direction. Even Val Kilmer - the only name in the flipping movie - was disgusting, both in appearance and line delivery. Anywhere in the Southwest states of California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and Colorado, where there's large Latin populations, try to go rent that film. The Colors are washed out and the lighting is awful, the Camera shakes as this announces Action and Excitement. In one life-shattering moment, three cousins are torn apart, forcing them to follow separate paths. In the northeast, the gangster stories are always about Italians, Jews or Irish.
This is the story of a cop whose brother was a drug dealer and was killed by his gang when he is trying lo leave his criminal life. This film takes place within the rich and colorful Chicano culture of East Los Angeles. But for continuity and time they had to cut the film down to a coherent three hour movie. What do you do when the law doesn't help? It plods along as expected, relatively good soundtrack, token chicks, gratuitous nakedness and the stilletoed heroine. On the good side are the rare scenes of the above mentioned actors. It's a favorite in that community, and that pleases me a lot. But the best of all is the last minute special effects?.
I don't want to risk opening a film that would create any kind of flashpoint for gang warfare. Goss has come along way since his band days, and looks the Jason Streatham'esque mean moody guy who's not to be messed with, but his accent is terrible. You can also get an instant mobile notification with our iPhone- or Android app. I especially liked the completely over the top gangster boss Val Kilmer. As long as you do not expect high class entertainment the move is enjoyable. It was not terrible, but had all the drama and excitement of watching a dog play fetch, fun for a while then just sitting waiting for it to end. Cruz becomes an exceptional artist, but a heroin addiction overcomes him with tragic results.
Around him, he is surrounded with a very believable army of thugs and this alone saves the film. So we can start with the camera work, think student film and obscure lighting techniques then we move to the 'over-acting' and then the 'under-acting' in some parts. I was pretty disappointed by this move as it had great actor potential Vinnie Jones, Val Kilmer, Tamer Hassan but unfortunately the good actors in this movie only play minor roles. Nothing here is worth much and it barely reaches the Competency Level and when it does it drops to below standard quickly. Some people watch this movie just because 50 Cent is in it, think its a rap movie or something, build up expectation for it, but gets disappointed which makes it an unpleasant experience. I shan't spoil it but if you don't replay it at least 3 times to double check what you just saw I'll be surprised, in fact I'll be flabbergasted, it's incredulous! I think this was a bit too big for Goss, at this juncture, especially with a non-native accent, but the action, and slow underlying story is believable and keeps you watching. Also the action scenes are well scripted and fun to watch.
After the death of his brother he decides to take justice into his own hands, he leaves the police and he manages to enter the gang that killed his brother. Not always, but here it is nonetheless, and it reeks of bottom barrel badness. Learn how to direct properly a movie. Nothing here worth your time unless you must see every Gang-Related Retread made available for a seemingly insatiable Home Video Market. When he turns sideways he most disappears. It opens in 1972, as the three are members of an East L. This move actually was to short for the plot and therefore rushed from sequence to sequence which made me not care about the characters at all.
