Seems to be a Google app problem because Photos also has issues backing up if the wi-fi option is selected. Speaking of location, Google Play Music has some cool location-based features you might be interested in. That seems to sort itself out after a restart, but a bit weird all the same. I have the problem where one playlist won't fully download, like it gets stuck on one song or something. I spent an hour on the phone tonight with Google and they can't quite figure it out. Once you install it and sign into your Google account, just follow the direction to upload your songs to Google Play Music. I have been having the same problem with my s5 and stumbled upon here.

I have tried restarting, making sure it is fully charged, unmounting and mounting the sd card, unpinning the album that it is partway through downloading in case that was the problem - no joy! I am really missing my old iPhone at the moment!! From there just hit the button at the top. The end of Google Play Music? Found this thread Googling for the issue. I can search for the song and download the song from the album that does exist, and I have no problems with this, but I still can't get this song from the same album to play from the autoplaylist. Even better still, Play Music Exporter allows you to save songs from the All Access library. Very early days - it is up to 1% - but fingers crossed.
